On Traveling and Things Temporary

One part of traveling I especially enjoy is meeting new people from all around the world but I hate that I may only see them once. It’s hard to deal with sometimes when you feel a connection with someone but then you travel on and the string connecting you pulls, grows taut, and snaps. You just can’t stay connected with everyone you meet.

Knowing that your relationship will be such a short one makes it easy to be completely real and open, to squeeze as much life into your short acquaintance as you can. That is how we should all live every day; not only with the people we’ll most likely only see once but with each person we see every single day because tomorrow we might not. They could be gone. It’s good to remember that everything here on earth is temporary.
