My dear friend Caleb was in a motorcycle accident late last night. He’s currently in the ICU of the Nebraska Medical Center and is soon to have surgery. I don’t know details about his injuries, but I know he has cuts on his face and tongue and is confused. He isn’t unconscious though, so that’s something to be grateful for. His family and friends are also thankful he’s only this hurt, his injuries could be far worse.
Please pray his surgery goes well and that he’ll heal fully and quickly.
This friend is a Sophomore at Creighton in Omaha studying to be a doctor. He’s like a brother to me. I love him so much.
Update from his sister at 11:53am: He broke his nose, has a partially collapsed lung, some bad cuts down to the bone on his face, and a pretty serious concussion. Thank you all for the prayers, it means so much to all of us. 🙂
Update from around 4pm: Caleb just got moved out of the ICU and is getting an X-ray!
Update from his mom 4/19/12: He has a broken nose, facial lacerations and a tongue laceration. He is up and around and starting to eat. A great improvement from yesterday! His one lung is still partially collapsed but it appears at this point he will not have to have surgery. Please continue to pray for his lung and for his healing. He may be released in the next day or two!
Caleb’s family are so grateful for all the prayers and have seen amazing results so far
