Here’s a post I put up a year ago today. I like it so well, I decided to share it again, for those of you who haven’t had the pleasure of reading it. (11-28-12)

Living Life Fully

I read this post last night and like it so much I want to share it with my readers. Anthony Marks from Solomon’s Ledger wrote it a couple days ago.

You can read the full post here.

Over 1300 Earths would be required to fill the volume of Jupiter — it’s surface area is over 120 times the size of our terrain. It is the brightest star of the evening, but from this distance I can easily pinch its area between my thumb and index finger. Even with its might, Jupiter pales in comparison to the reach of God’s full creation.

Because everyone in my circle has been talking about faith, I am reminded of the blessing the Lord bestowed on Abraham. After Abraham willingly places his son Isaac on the altar, the angel of the Lord tells him:

  1. Thanks for this reminder. 🙂

I would do well to see where God has led me this past year — as finances and work hours have been stretched to uncomfortable limits (needs I find myself less concerned for due to an “experiential justification” of my faith), He has allowed me to dabble in intimacy with a woman I admire deeply, and I must remember that the same principles apply. My relationship with her will travel as far as my reliance on Him and my willingness to place it in the altar daily. It is for our joy and blessing that He meets the desires of our hearts — we can acknowledge and enjoy them accordingly when He is seated at the thrones of our hearts.

It’s hard to conceive that the Maker of the vast evening sky delights in pleasing me, but it’s a conviction I must learn to accept and hold dear to my heart. Laurel Anne, I pray that you would continue to know Him as the Giver of your delight.

    • Anthony, it’s good to hear from you again. You’ve been pretty quiet, and missed, in the blogging world for quite awhile now.

You’re right, it is good to see where God has lead over the year(s). I’m happy to hear you’ve had (and have) a growing relationship with a lady you deeply admire this past year. 🙂 I pray it will continue well for both of you.

That God delights in pleasing me is a truth I must learn to accept and hold dear as well. Thank you for praying I would find my delight in Jesus, I need it, especially recently.
