Play-Dough in the Bosch Mixer

Here’s a peak into my “work” day today… it’s too cute not to share!

Pleasant Hill Grain in Hampton, Nebraska

Two little girls came over today to make play-dough in the Bosch mixer. They found it fun to climb up on the step stool, help pour in the ingredients, let the food coloring drip into the water, watch the dough spin round-and-round in the mixing bowl, and play with it together at the table when it was all made.

Making the play-dough took about 10 minutes from start to finish, so this really is a simple, fun, and safe craft activity to prepare together in the kitchen with your kids. Watch their hair if it’s long though, you don’t want it to catch in the mixer!

Ingredients:
  • 3 cups flour
  • 3 tablespoons cream of tartar
  • 1 cup salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • 2 1/2 cups boiling water (a Zojirushi hot water dispenser works great for this!)
